Even though this executive chair didn't have any reviews when I bought it, I thought judging from the look of it i'd give it a try. Since it was a prime item, it had free shipping and returns and had all the elements I was looking for, reclinable, footrest, simple lines and I wanted brown with Chromed legs. This chair was simple to assemble (within a half hour) and a tool was included for all the bolts. Once assembled I tried all the functions, the recline, foot rest and height adjustment all worked well, I'll give it that but as soon as I opened the box I could smell the strong chemical odor from the parts. It was nauseating, made my eyes water and after sitting in the chair for an hour got a pounding headache! It smelled like I was surrounded with shoe polish. Maybe it was the finish on the Faux leather or coming from the foam cushions but it didn't matter to me, I had to put several blankets on the chair to sit in it for any time and though a little better I could still smell it. I considered waiting it out, thinking maybe once its done off gassing it won't smell so bad but the other issue was that it wasn't really comfortable enough to warrant the wait. The lumbar area isn't padded enough and you can feel the internal support after sitting in it for a bit. I also felt two bolts when I pushed the lumbar area with my hands. The seat cushion wasn't comfortable either though the head rest was nice and it was pretty inexpensive, I'll give it. that but I didn't want to sacrifice the 160.00 I paid for it to such an inferior product. I returned it and am looking for something a little more expensive. Hope this helps!
